Cause

Note: This is only one of a few possible causes found after receiving the generic upgradability check error during upgrade. Though this cause can be easily eliminated as the cause by performing the Solution below. 

Some of the datastore folders in the D:\CW\Vxx\data and D:\CW\Vxx\extdata directories have been removed as indicated by the b cluster-admin checkCluster command run at the upgradability check portion of and right at the beginning of the upgrade.

Resolution

A consistency check needs to be performed to determine what, if any datastore folders have been removed, and recreate folders for those datastore folders.

Consistency Check

  1. Open the D:\CW\Installer\log\9-8-2022-11.36.16\cwinstall_b_cmd_cluster_admin_checkCluster_9-8-2022-11.36.42.log Note: Refer to the exact path and file name in the D:\CW\Installer\log\9-8-2022-11.36.16\cwinstall_b_cmd_install log. The 9-8-2022-11.36.16 folder referenced is only an example.
  2. Review the results Note: Screen shot example below shows (highlighted) that there is one datastore folder that has been removed dataStore_case_temp_b8iqjolxdj_95303986 from both the D:\CW\Vxx\data and D:\CW\Vxx\extdata directories. There may be more than one datastore folder listed.

Create Folders

  1. Go to the D:\CW\Vxx\data and D:\CW\Vxx\extdata directories and create a new folder with the datastore name, e.g. dataStore_case_temp_b8iqjolxdj_95303986
  2. Re-run the upgrade
