A red banner appears below the input field for tag label 

Tag  name cannot have special characters.  Please use letters, numbers, hyphen, colon, and/or underscore.

Workaround

Remove the all special characters from tag names.  

There was a move to validate input fields and some characters were deemed to be potentially dangerous from a cross site scripting perspective. 
 

Veritas Technologies LLC currently plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix to the current version of the software.
