Accelerator Search Date Range picker will intermittently not refresh the calendar display

Cause

Unknown at this time.

 

Resolution

There are possible 3 workarounds:

1. Select the To date before selecting the From date.

2. Select the From date by selecting the year, month and date. Then select the To date by selecting the year and month. Monitor the actual calendar to see if the dates change to match the month. If they do not change, click the left/right arrows to change the date by +/- 1 month and verify the displayed calendar is correct. Then select the To date.

3. Select the From date by clicking (and holding) the left arrow to select the month and then select the date. Select the To date by clicking (and holding) the left arrow to select the month and then select the date.

 

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release.  If you feel this issue has a direct business impact for you and your continued use of the product, please contact your Veritas Sales representative or the Veritas Sales group to discuss these concerns.

 

Issue/Introduction

In rare occasions when selecting the Date Range in Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator (CA) or Discovery Accelerator (DA) Searches, the To date via the calendar picker will not display the correct calendar dates for the selected year and month, and the picker remains at the present date. This results in unexpected Search results if the incorrect Date Range is not corrected prior to running the Search. This is an intermittent issue and is not consistently seen. Restarting the Client or clearing the Client cache may alleviate the issue. To clear the Client cache:
- Hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and click on the Veritas logo in the bottom-right corner of the Client.
- Monitor the status bar at the bottom of the Client for Refreshing cache, then Cache refreshed (these may flash by fairly quickly).
