Error Message
A warning message appears in the dialog.
Cause
Special characters are not permitted in eDP object names due to potential Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Export Template Names
- Folder Names
- Folder Names (Production)
- Legal Hold Template Names
- Redaction Reason Codes
- Redaction Set Names
- Tag Labels
- Tag Set Names
Resolution
Instead of special characters please use letters, numbers, spaces, hyphen, colon, semi-colon, underscore and/or parentheses.
Issue/Introduction
When attempting to name a Folder, Export Template, Tag label, or other objects in eDiscovery Platform (eDP) using special characters a warning appears. Object names cannot contain special characters.
