This issue can occur when the Enterprise Vault Alias (CNAME) in DNS that is associated with this Enterprise Vault server is pointing to another Enterprise Vault server on the site.
Note: There may be multiple reasons that an Enterprise Vault Alias is pointed to another Enterprise Vault server. Among those reasons would be the use of Building Blocks (Update Service Locations)
Ensure that the Enterprise Vault Alias (CName) is correct and pointing to the appropriate Netbios name in Active Directory DNS Manager.
Uninstall / Reinstall Enterprise Vault and rerun the Enterprise Vault Configuration.
