Description

Error Message

There is no error message logged. The Exchange Mailbox Archiving report shows there are shortcuts in the mailbox where the policy is set to not create shortcuts.

Cause

When the Exchange mailbox policy is set to do not create shortcuts and do not delete original items, it keeps the original items as is after archiving and adds some custom EV properties to identify these items in the next archiving run.

During the subsequent archiving runs, these non-shortcut items are counted as Shortcuts and the Exchange Archiving report shows an incorrect count of shortcuts.

There is no functionality impact due to this issue.
