Error Message

Error:  V-378-1312-311: Filer is associated with an unknown domain 0. user mapping will be incorrect.

The event means that the Filer is part of an Active Directory (AD) domain that DI does not scan. As a result, when the scan is run on the filer, DI will not be able to match the Security ID of the accounts in the domain that are not scanned.

The issue can occur when the WinNAS is configured as a generic device instead of WinNAS filer in DI in order to avoid auditing for it.

Re-add WinNAS device as a Windows File Server in DI, and choose the Do not use agent for monitoring option from the Filer Edit menu.

This would allow the WinNAS to only be configured for scans and be exempted from auditing.
