Below is captured in the Dtrace (on EVMonitoring) 

    EV-L    {SmtpSecurityCertificate.CalculateTotalDaysRemaining} Security certificate expiry date is MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS     EV-L    {SmtpSecurityCertificateExpiry.IsSuccessResult} Security certificate has expired
    EV~I    |Event ID: 41600 The SMTP security certificate has expired. You need to renew the certificate or issue a new one.

 

Cause

The security certificate has expired.

Security certificates are used for encrypted connections for SMTP. The above warning is reported if the certificate has expired and is not updated. 

Resolution

The certificate for the SMTP needs to be updated at the SMTP target property.

Location : 1

1. Open Vault Admin console. 

2. Expand Site > Target > SMTP.

3. Right click the SMTP and select Properties

4. Under Connection security, select Change security

5. Select the connection security as per the environment and remove the old expired certificate. 

6. Click on import and select the Personal Information Exchange / P12 format certificate.

7. Click Apply and OK

If connection security is configured on each of the Enterprise Vault Servers, it is necessary to ensure that it is updated with a valid certificate.

1. Open Vault Admin console. 

2. Expand Site > Expand Enterprise Vault Servers.

3. Right click on the SMTP server and select Properties

4. Under SMTP, if Use Site TLS setting is unchecked,  then select to Change security

5. Select the connection security as per the environment and remove the old expired certificate. 

6. Click on import and select the Personal Information Exchange / P12 format certificate.

7. Click Apply and OK
 

Issue/Introduction

Within the Enterprise Vault Admin console, a warning with Event ID : 41600 is reported.
