Cause
With no changes to the eDiscovery Platform through upgrades or patches, it has been seen that case backups and archiving jobs will intermittently fail on random cases due to antivirus/security software scanning for file/directory creation on the backup destination.
Resolution
Customers have involved their security software teams to configure the antivirus/security software settings that were scanning the backup destination.
Issue/Introduction
Scheduled case backups or manual backup/archiving jobs intermittently fail to create the backup directory set by the property: esa.case.backupDir
