Cause
Clearwell Utility makes this decision to ask logically based on whether or not the property, esa.case.sharedBackupDir, is set to true or false.
Resolution
- Go to System > Support Features
- Change the Support Feature to Property Browser
- In the "Name of Property to Change" type in esa.case.sharedBackupDir property
- In the "New Value" type in false
- Place a check in "Confirm change. Are you sure?"
- Click "Submit"
- Run Clearwell Utility menu option 1 to perform the appliance backup.
- When the backup is complete, perform the above steps again but change the value for step 4 to true to set back to the previous configuration.
Issue/Introduction
When running 1. Backup Appliance from Clearwell Utility menu options, the tool will ask a series of questions about the backup name, want to include logs, and to include case backups. Case backups can make the Appliance Backup take much more time and space. This article will explain what to do if the Clearwell Utility fails to ask if case backups should be included or not.
