Cause

The EnterpriseVaultDirectory DB retains the encrypted password of the original VSA.

Issue/Introduction

After migrating EV to a new domain, starting the Directory service immediately throws Event ID: 8596 and Event ID: 4280. Attempting to open the SMTP properties in the VAC produces the following error:
