Cause

The cause of this issue is related to a corrupt 14.3.2 update.

Resolution

1. Verify from the Registry location that the 14.3.2 update was not applied:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install\Hotfixes

2. If there is no subfolder for 14.3.2,then reinstall the 14.3.2 update.

3. Verify that the following Services are not stopped and not set to be disabled:

   a. World Wide Web Publishing and Windows Process Activation.

Issue/Introduction

While upgrading EV from 14.3 to 14.3.2, An error message is displayed on screen from the installer showing "There has been an error installing the enterprise vault cloud storage adapter components". After a reboot of the EV server, the Indexing service fails to start and immediately generates an on screen error "Error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start".
