Cause

  • Based on the current Veritas Engineering investigation, after clicking the Bring in Families icon, the relevant data is successfully fetched in the search panel during the first search. Before proceeding further, several variables are checked to ensure a valid state for executing the Bring in Families functionality. However, during the second search (Advanced Search), certain variables prevent the functionality from being executed.

 

Resolution

Please contact Veritas eDiscovery Technical Support to open a case and reference the engineering patch CFT-6505 with the assigned eDP TSE.

A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Articles to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.

Note:  This behavior will be resolved via a fix in eDP v10.3.1.

Issue/Introduction

  • In some circumstances, after running an Advanced Search in the Analysis and Review Module, the Bring in Families icon is missing in the search results for documents that contain attachments.
  • It was identified that it may affect versions of Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) running v10.2.x.
