Cause
Merge1 uses the identity set to the IIS Application Pool Merge1WebApp as the account to read the registry information. If this account is not the Merge1 service account or does not have the following permissions, then the update will fail.
Permissions needed:
- Part of Local administrator group
- Log on as a service
- Log on as a batch job
Resolution
Update the IIS Application Pool Merge1WebApp identity account to use the Merge1 service account or apply the appropriate permissions to the account that is being used.

Issue/Introduction
