Error Message

The following warning dialog window (Figure 1) may show prior to the installation failing.  Each installation package is different so may not see this warning before the install fails:

From the D:\CW\Installer\log\-

Cause

The ActivID ActivClient is security software that is interrupting the installation.  This can be seen during the PrizmDocServer and PrizmDocClient portions of the installation.

Resolution

When the ActivID ActivClient dialog window displays (as seen in Figure 2) do not attempt to supply a PIN.  Do not press the Cancel button.  Neither will work as one would think.  Instead, click the right top X (circled in red on Figure 2) to just close the window.  In a moment, the installation progress bar will begin to move again and installation will be completed successfully.

Issue/Introduction

A popup dialog window for ActivID ActivClient shows asking for a PIN in the middle of upgrading or installing the eDiscovery Platform (eDP) application. Inserting a valid PIN or selecting the Cancel button causes the installation to fail.
