Description

Error Message

Failed to add appliance. ([#164017] Can't add appliance to cluster while the evidence repository is being accessed by user superuser (session: 1654972328).  Please try again later.)

Cause

Typically, another user/account is logged in, in this case a superuser, and therefore more than one session other than the current session that is trying to access the evidence repository database.

Resolution

  1. Go to the System->Sessions tab.
  2. Look for session with Session ID mentioned in the error message and click the trashcan over on the right side to remove the session.
  3. Then try to add the server to the cluster again.

Issue/Introduction

When trying to add a new appliance to a distributed architecture (DA) environment, an error appears near the top of the graphical user interface (GUI) saying it failed because the evidence repository is being accessed by a user.
