Error Message
Failed to add appliance. ([#164017] Can't add appliance to cluster while the evidence repository is being accessed by user superuser (session: 1654972328). Please try again later.)
Cause
Typically, another user/account is logged in, in this case a superuser, and therefore more than one session other than the current session that is trying to access the evidence repository database.
Resolution
- Go to the System->Sessions tab.
- Look for session with Session ID mentioned in the error message and click the trashcan over on the right side to remove the session.
- Then try to add the server to the cluster again.
Issue/Introduction
When trying to add a new appliance to a distributed architecture (DA) environment, an error appears near the top of the graphical user interface (GUI) saying it failed because the evidence repository is being accessed by a user.
